What is counselling?

Counselling is a unique relationship formed between a counsellor and client in a confidential and safe space. This environment is to enable clients to be able to open up about feelings and emotions they are experiencing which they may want to find meaning from.

There are many different reasons for attending counselling some may be:

  • Problem Gambling
  • Substance Missuse
  • Loss and Grief
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Social Anxiety
  • Existential Anxiety
  • Domestic Violence
  • Self esteem and Confidence
  • Relationships
  • Sexual Issues

My aim as a counsellor is to work with you in a collaborative way to learn and try to understand your experiences through

a non-judgemental and warm way respecting individuality and personal identity.

My primary aim as a counsellor is to try and see through your eyes and get an understanding of what it is like to walk in your shoes.
